News from the Trust Manager

The AGM of the Board of Trustees took place on Friday the 22nd February. We were very happy to welcome our Chairman, Mr Windsor Shuenyane, back in our midst after an illness. It was with regret that the meeting took note of Mr Peter Leitner’s resignation as CEO of the Trust due to work pressure.

We are in the process of having newspaper stands made for all the strategic places - these will have a donation box for our friends who wish to give something towards our many projects, as well as a box for suggestions. Below a few of our current projects are listed: these can be torn out of the newspaper, marked and placed in the donation box together with your donation.
Otherwise money can be deposited into our banking account at:
FNB (260246) 620 31121255.

Sponsors can choose any of the projects listed on our Projects page if they want to specify their support to a specific project. In so doing, the sponsor can become personally involved in this project.

The Trust Manager

The Trust manager was appointed during January 2007. It was a busy year with a lot of activities including the beginning of a network building - mainly through the Pilanesberg National Park News which comes out quarterly, and is distributed free of charge at all the entrance gates to the Pilanesberg, as well as the Lodges and Pilanesberg Centre. The Newspaper can be subscribed to, but we have mailed some to our overseas guests who only come on holiday once in a while. Many good relationships have been built up with supporters to the Pilanesberg, and offers of assistance from artists and photographers.

I have realised again and again that there are so many people out there who are passionate about conservation and wildlife.
